Her love of both music and art was the catalyst for her involvement pioneering independent video production.

Over the last 15 years she has directed and edited video clips for hundreds of indie bands, including such diverse acts as Marc Almond, Michelle Shocked and Psychic TV.

Working with video developed her flair for recognising and creating striking imagery with a distinctive look, at once disturbing yet beautiful.

Now an exhibiting photo artist, Karen's style combines deceptively simplistic images with abstract form, creating a uniquely classical, almost painted effect within contemporary subject matter.
